“Starke Frauen” award for Astrid Kany
The Frauen Union Saar honoured Astrid Kany for her humanitarian work.
On 15 July 2023, the Frauen Union Saar presented its 3rd “Starke Frauen” award to midwife Astrid Kany, then chair of the association.
The jury recognised her many years of work for sick and vulnerable people in Asia, Africa, Europe, and Saarland: on humanitarian missions, with aid transports, in training medical staff, and in building local structures.
