€3,000 from Rotary Club Rhön

Rotary Club Rhön shared the proceeds of its wine festival among 13 projects. €3,000 of it goes towards our next mission in the Philippines.

On Monday, 28 September 2026, Rotary Club Rhön handed over €58,000 to 13 projects at Café Flora on the Frauenberg in Fulda. Most of the money comes from the proceeds of the wine festival that around 40 members and their partners host on the Frauenberg every year.

€3,000 of it goes to Surgical Mission Saarland. Andreas Grimme accepted the cheque and told the club what will happen with it: in spring 2027 the team travels to Cagayan de Oro on Mindanao to operate on people who could not otherwise afford surgery.

The club makes a point of staying in close contact with the projects it supports, to make sure its donations arrive and are needed. That suits us: every euro goes into supplies, medication and local training, while team members pay for their own flights and leave.

Thank you to Rotary Club Rhön, to everyone who helped at the wine festival, and to everyone who raised a glass there.

The report in the Osthessen-Zeitung: 58,000 euros for good causes.

The next step

The next mission starts with you.

A donation, a membership, or your time: every contribution becomes surgery, safe anesthesia, and training on the ground.
